Tool to cut acrylic

Hi all.

Can someone please help me. A friends father is making a greenhouse using old sheets of acrylic. Problem is, all he has succeeded in doing is blunt tools and melt the acrylic. Can anyone suggest a tool for a router or saw that would be able to cut 5ml sheets of acrylic?

Paddy,

Have a look at:

My favourite method would be the score and bend method (like you would use for glass) - unless of course you are trying to cut complex shapes.
