110v power tools
Does anyone know if i can use power tools from the US rated at 110v over here on a transformer? They are so much cheaper in the states.

Hi Barrie,
It looks as though it could be ok. Look at http://www.accessorystore.co.uk/acatalo ... rmers.html

Barrie,
You could also try maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/batteries-and-p ... raditional
Maplin describe what you need as a 'UK to USA Voltage Convertor' whereas accessorystore.co.uk describe them as 'US to UK Stepdown Transformers' - what's in a name ? possible confusion !!
