My house has an attached garage. Currently there is no access from inside the house. (There are items in the garage (e.g. freezer) which we like to access frequently).
Does anyone know if there is any restriction, or if I need planning permission if putting an internal door through from the hallway into the garage?
Thanks,
Jonathan.

Re: Door through to garage
Hi Jonathan,
You may not need planning permission but you will need building reg. approval.
I'm not 100% sure but I think you will need a step down to your garage of around 100mm and a fire door.
Its always best to contact your local council building control department before you start any structural alterations, they will keep you right on current building regs.,

I believe John is right, you will need a step down into the garage - I suspect you'll also need a fire-door.
Check with your local building control regarding building regs - I'm fairly sure you won't need planning permission.
